You don’t have to hold everything together here.

At Sunflowerscounselling on the Gold Coast, therapy is a safe space where you can speak freely, feel fully, and be understood without judgment. You are not too much. You are not behind. You are not broken. Together, we’ll gently slow things down, make sense of the patterns that keep repeating, and build steadier ways of coping, relating, and living. You truly don’t have to do this alone.

My approach to counselling

My approach at Sunflowerscounselling is person-centred at its core, meaning you set the pace and we focus on what genuinely matters to you. I won’t push an agenda or make assumptions about your life. Instead, I’ll meet you where you are, listen properly, and help you untangle things in a way that feels manageable. I’m also integrative, drawing from different therapeutic approaches depending on what’s most helpful. Some days we might gently explore patterns from your past; other times, we'll learn practical tools for anxiety, relationships, or self-doubt in the here and now. It’s not one-size-fits-all – because you’re not one-size-fits-all. I graduated with a First-Class degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I care deeply about doing this work well. I bring steadiness, honesty, and warmth, always treating you with respect. Therapy with me is a space where you can exhale a bit – you don’t have to have it all figured out. We’ll make sense of it together.

Who I love helping & what's rewarding

I’m especially drawn to working with people on the Gold Coast who appear to be coping on the outside, but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or quietly exhausted on the inside. Often, they’re thoughtful, self-aware, and used to being the 'strong one' for everyone else. They might struggle with anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, low self-worth, or challenging relationships. Many have spent years trying to 'figure it out' alone before reaching out. What I find most rewarding is witnessing that profound shift. The moment someone realises, “Oh… I’m not broken. This makes sense.” When self-blame softens, boundaries become possible, and anxiety transforms into something we can understand. It’s a privilege to sit alongside someone as they reconnect with their confidence, their voice, and their sense of self. Seeing clients move from merely surviving to actually feeling steadier and more secure in who they are — that's truly meaningful.

A bit about me, and if you’re feeling unsure

Outside of Sunflowerscounselling, I truly value balance. I love staying active — whether that’s long walks by the sea, time in the gym, or just getting outdoors and clearing my head. Movement helps me stay grounded, and I bring that same steady energy into my work. I’m also naturally reflective and curious, enjoying meaningful conversations, reading, and understanding what makes people tick. The way I live my life reflects how I work: present, balanced, thoughtful, and real. If you’re feeling nervous about starting therapy, please know it’s completely normal. You don’t need to have the 'right' words or a perfectly clear story. You just need to show up. The first step isn’t about diving into everything at once — it’s about getting comfortable, going at your pace, and seeing what it feels like to speak and be met with calm, respect, and understanding. You’re allowed to be unsure. You’re allowed to take your time. Therapy isn’t about being judged; it’s about being supported while you figure things out. And often, the hardest part is simply reaching out.
